Yes, TMG has bike rentals. TMG offers front and full suspension mountain bikes for our tours. When you make your reservation for your bike tour you can also reserve a rental bike. Rentals include a water bottle and a helmet. Standard bikes are $45 and $65 for a premium full suspension.
The choices are endless, ranging from Norco, Scott, Ibis, Santa Cruz, Felt, Rocky Mountain and more! You can choose from front suspension, full suspension and 29?er frames.
Our one-day tours are available daily during mountain bike season. In Lake Tahoe, California this normally means May through November. We also offer multi-day tours and group tours during these same months.
The length of the ride depends on the riders in the group and whether you are on a half-day or full day tour. Tours can vary from 3 miles to long 25+ mile epics! Let TMG know what you want!
Closed toed shoes, no sandals, breathable shirts, biking gloves, and bike shorts or regular shorts are recommended. Be prepared for weather changes by bringing a light rain jacket or warmer top layer. Jeans and non-athletic shoes are not recommended. Helmets are required and are provided with all rental bikes.
Single day and multi-day tours average between three to eight cyclists, with a maximum of twelve.
If you bring your own pedals and shoes, we will put your pedals on your rental bike for you. TMG does not supply clipless pedals.
